Paper Dolls: Filipino Trannies in Israel

I came across an amazing story of how a group of Filipino transsexuals worked as care givers to elderly ultra conservative Orthodox Jewish men. This was portrayed in a documentary film some four years ago.
It was an outsider perspective—people born in Manila, who were outsiders in the gay community because they are transgendered; outsiders in Israel, because they are illegal; and yet they have a very important place in Israeli society. The director says he tried not to make a sentimental film, apparently he did not want to show them as victims.
